A group of LUSDA members had the great pleasure of visiting the American Academy in Rome, located in Trastevere.
The Academy awards fellowships to winners of the Rome Prize to live, study, and work at the Academy in order to develop their skills in fields like conservation, visual arts, and architecture. During the tour we discovered the historical facilities, beautiful humanities library, and expansive gardens that together makes up an ideal space for artistic innovation.
We were also shown the historic Villa Richardson, residence of Ambassador Donnelly to the Holy See, whom LUSDA had the honor to meet on February 21st.
We would like to warmly thank the Academy for hosting us, it was a true pleasure.
