A small group of LUSDA members took part in a private tour of the exhibition “Dacia – L’ultima Frontiera della Romanità”, at the beautiful Terme di Diocleziano in Rome The exposition consists of historical artifacts, lended by 45 different Romanian museums, which originate from both Romanian and Moldovan cultural heritage.
The exhibition displays around 900 different archeological finds which tell the story of the Dacian empire, a great empire which used to exist from 106 to 271–275 AD on the territory of modern Romania. These remains portray an incredible story of how life looked like and progressed in those ancient times. On display are seen mosaics, sculptures, and fascinating objects such as weaponry, items related to fashion and household, and even horse decorations.
We had the great honor of being accompanied by Mr. Ovidiu Pufu, the minister counselor at the Romanian Embassy in Italy, who provided us with an introduction to the exhibition and highlighted the important cultural and political relationship Romania and Italy have developed over time. We take this opportunity to thank the Romanian Embassy, the Terme di Diocleziano, and Mr. Pufu for making this interesting private tour possible.
