On January 28, the LUSDA Brussels delegation visited the Council of the European Union. Its presidency is currently held by Poland 🇵🇱 which began on 1 January 2025. Each country holding the Presidency installs an art exhibit in the entrance hall relating to its culture.

We were welcomed by three current trainees from Ireland 🇮🇪 France 🇫🇷 and the Netherlands 🇳🇱 who recounted their experiences on the job including information on the functioning of working parties and committees, voting in Council sessions, and cooperation between member states. We also discussed the application process for traineeships at the Council. We ended the visit by visiting the red carpet where Ministers and Ambassadors enter Council sessions and taking photos by the flags.
