On April 9th, a delegation from LUSDA had the privilege of visiting the Korean Cultural Institute in Rome for a cultural immersion experience that proved both insightful and enriching.
The visit featured the exhibition "Fiabe Occidentali in Hanbok", which showcased a captivating collection of illustrations by renowned Korean artist Wooh Nayoung. The exhibit reimagined iconic Western fairytales through the aesthetic lens of traditional Korean clothing, known as hanbok, offering a fascinating fusion of cultural storytelling and artistic expression.
Following the exhibition, participants engaged in the traditional Korean game Tuho, gaining a hands-on appreciation of Korean customs and heritage. The experience concluded with a comprehensive presentation on South Korea, deepening our understanding of its history, culture, and global presence.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Korean Cultural Institute for their warm hospitality and for providing such a valuable opportunity to explore Korean culture. Initiatives like this continue to support LUSDA’s mission of promoting cross-cultural dialogue and global awareness among students.
