Diplomatic Digest Officer

Canadian-Argentine student, speaker of four languages fluently (Spanish, French, English and Italian) and very opinionated

My passion for history and international politics started at a young age, sparked by reading historical biographies in the back of the Larousse dictionary just for fun. I was born in Argentina and emigrated following the 2001 economic crisis, which fueled my curiosity about how nations, like Argentina, once among the top 10 in GDP per capita at the beginning of the 20th century, can experience such dramatic declines. I value communication, critical thinking, and an insatiable curiosity in everything I do. I also participated in Model UN, where my team ranked 6th in North America and 1st in Canada, and I won an award at the most prestigious circuit in the country. Additionally, I wrote and edited for the Journal of Political Affairs at Concordia University.

Now pursuing my master’s degree in international relations at LUISS in Rome and having left behind the pothole-filled streets of Montreal, I find myself on the European continent, eager to live new experiences and step out of my comfort zone.

On a more personal note, I am an avid soccer fan (sorry, can’t call it football—spent too much time in North America) and you’ll often find me watching American football on Sundays. I also enjoy reading about history and diplomatic affairs (currently reading Kissinger’s Diplomacy) and visiting hidden churches and museums while listening to French rap.
